HÖWEDES OUT – a world champion retires

For an international football star there are several options to announce his own retirement. Some trust in publishing an uninspired press release or doing an interview – others believe in giving inglorious and tearful press conferences. We believe that this moment offers the chance to leave the stage in style and with a strong statement! Benedikt Höwedes followed our idea and decided to leave the stage in style! Though having only two evenings of production plus the challenge of keeping the whole production undercover everything worked seamlessly.

It was just the three of us on the set working with Benedikt on the site of the TUS Haltern, Germany – Benedikts home an 1st club he played for as a kid.

It was a pleasure and a great honor to do this project with him and we are very pleased for his confidence that this film is the coolest way to announce his retirement!

Not to mention all the great football talks we had and insights he gave us in between the takes!
